I spent a week in New York seeing art, meeting new friends, discovering the best vintage stores and exploring new foods. Listed below are just a few of the food stops I made throughout the week.

Located on 13 W 36th St, Tonchin Ramen is a Tokyo-based chain specializing in tonkotsu ramen, griddled dishes & fried chicken. With dishes like the Tonchin Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen and Chashu + Spicy Mayo + Sesame Tokyo rice ball to vegan options like the Miso Ginger Ramen and Maitake Tempura + Chove Tokyo rice ball, Tonchin Ramen is sure to have meals for anyone and everyone. And while the menu is on the pricier side, the servings within each dish are well worth the price!

Sestina Pasta Bar is a new healthy take on classic Italian cuisine with California execution and an entirely vegan menu ranging from pastas, breads, cheeses to classic Italian desserts. Located on 67 2nd Ave New York, this restaurant is one of the most popular and highly recommended spots in the area. From Vodka Rigatoni and Garlic Gnocchi to Focaccia Pane and Pumpkin Ravioli, you are sure to discover and love countless new dishes. And while the menu is on the pricier side, the quality of the food is well worth the price!
Located in one of my most favorite NYC locations, Greenwich Village, Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream is a classic and essential stop. From classic flavors like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Madagascar Vanilla to distinct flavors like Olive Oil Chocolate Orange, you can enjoy a serving or pint in a variety of flavors.

Talk about a hole in the wall in NYC's most unique Specialty Coffee Shop in the Meat Packing neighborhood, Terremoto Coffee serves top quality coffee and entertainment. Located on 328 W 15th St. and open 8am to 4pm, Terremoto serves your favorite go-to drinks (Cappuccino, Latte, Matcha, Chai, etc.) with dairy alternatives (Almond, Oat, Cashew). If you're looking for a mellow, artsy coffee stop this is the place to be!

Located on 50 Carmine St in the West Village, Jack's Wife Freda is a cozy aesthetically pleasing spot serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. With dishes like Maya's Breakfast Bowl and Mediterranean Breakfast to the Chicken Prego and Vegetable Curry Bowl, you are guaranteed to leave satisfied and wanting more. Not only is the food delicious, but the employees are so kind and welcoming of all customers and dog friendly. This restaurant is high on the price side but tasty nonetheless with a great dining environment and customer service.

Located on 127 W 28th, Mykonos Blue is a vibrant Greek restaurant and rooftop inside the Hotel Hayden with city views. Rooftop restaurants tend to be on the more expensive side so if you are willing to splurge for the rooftop experience, do it!. Serving traditional mediterranean dishes like Pikilia and Keptedes to Seafood Orzo and Souvlaki Kotopoulo with gorgeous city views, you are sure to have an amazing experience and meal!

Located on 542 W 27th St., Gallow Green is a rooftop restaurant and bar with a green-garden vibe, serving chic cocktails, punch bowls and delicious foods. Not only are the dishes tasty, but the vivacious greenery laid throughout the entire restaurant makes the meal taste even better. From the Grilled Organic Sandwich and Pork Belly Banh Mi to the Mckittrick Burger and Fried Calamari, you are open to a variety of different cuisines! Once again rooftop restaurants tend to be on the more expensive side so if you are willing to splurge for the rooftop experience, do it!

Ruby's is an Australian culinary influenced restaurant providing the local and international community with some of the best food, espresso coffee, and drinks in New York City. Located on 198 East 11th St. in the East Village, Ruby’s prides itself on using fresh local product, serving a varied menu. From the classic Egg Sandwich and Ricotta Hotcakes to the famous Bronte Burger, Ruby's is home to not only delicious dishes but a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This is an essential stop!
Located on 33 Carmine St. in the West Village of New York City, Nami Nori is a casual temaki bar specializing in open-style sushi hand rolls. Featuring signature temaki dishes like tuna poke and spicy sea bass to chojang coconut shrimp and cucumber black sesame, Nami Nori serves the classics and special vegan temaki options. The temaki bar also serves "Japanese-inspired snacks and appetizers, along with a selection of beer, sake and wine, available on tap and by the bottle." The Name Nori experience and dishes are absolutely worth the expensive price.

From bagels and bagel sandwiches to pastries and flavored cream cheeses, Tompkins Square Bagels has an array of options that are sure to satisfy all customers. I stuck with the classic everything bagel, cream cheese and lox combination but was sure to try one of their most popular cream cheese flavors, the Apple Cinnamon Spread. The best part about Tompkins Square Bagels (besides the many food products) are the reasonable prices. This is an essential stop!
