The art of manifestation has always been an obscure one to comprehend for I never considered it to be effective or all that realistic. Initially, I believed manifesting to be the equivalent of witchcraft, a silly practice made to entertain, but I was wrong. Over the past few weeks I have become accustomed to the art of manifesting and have now made it an essential part of my daily routine. And from my experience, manifestation is a habitual practice made to inspire positive mindsets and courage in order to accomplish goals or desires set and written in the future tense. Manifesting and its purpose may vary amongst some, but the meaning is very much clear to all and according to author Angelina Lombardo of A Spiritual Entrepreneur “manifesting is making everything you want to feel and experience a reality... via your thoughts, actions, beliefs, and emotions."
When I read Lombardo’s claim, the first thought that came to my mind was that manifestation is one’s attitude towards experiences, individuals, and life itself. But in order to have a deeper understanding of this habitual practice before diving into it myself, I turned to friends who were well versed in the arts of manifestation, one being my friend Tinny Williams.
What is manifestation and the best way to practice it?
"I write in my notes, on my phone for easiest access to reread whenever I'm down on myself or life feels like it’s going against me! I make sure I write as if it’s already happened because that a big part of manifesting is speaking it in the world as it’s already happened or is currently happening in your life. For example: “I accept change and/or I accept love” and the other thing I do is give myself two to three main points because it's easier to focus on! Also, when you talk about the things you manifest with friends or family you should try to talk about it like you wrote it down as if it’s already happened because you are constantly manifesting those certain aspects in your life. Obviously you can manifest specific life goals or items (what you want your life to be), but you can also manifest affirmations (who you want to be) like the examples I gave above!"
Between my own experience, words from Angelina Lombardo, and insight from friends, I learned and gathered a series of tips on how to be most successful when manifesting!
The five steps to manifesting:
Be Clear of What You Want
Ask The Universe For It
Trust the process
Acknowledge what’s being sent to you
Be free of any/all resistance (procrastination, resentment, anxiety, regret, fear)
The six keys to speed up manifestation process:
Give yourself permission to want what you want
Be willing to receive
Be willing to dismiss your doubts
Take inspired action
Rise above jealousy
Pay attention to judgement and limiting beliefs
The five acts of a successful Manifester:
Be the observer of your thought
Let your imagination run free
Believe in your own divine power
Be patient
Align yourself with feeling of your wish being fulfilled
Remember-- when manifesting, repetition is important. Like Muhammad Ali said, “it’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen."
Writing down your manifestations is the best way to practice so here are a few journals I recommend in order to stay organized and consistent with your manifestations!
Recommended journals:
The Five Minute Journal by Intelligent Change
Gratitude: A Day And Night Reflection Journal by Insight Editions
The 100-day Guided Manifestation Journal by Steven Canyon
